Every new hypnotherapist wonders what to include in the first few sessions. Is age regression good in the first session? Parts therapy? Or do we clear the field with a basic, less threatening technique? It can be daunting to wonder, “Where do I start and where do we go from there?” Clients will pick up that lack of certainty so we need to feel confident. It’s helpful to have a list of content free, non-threatening processes that facilitate change. Katherine Zimmerman is the Director of the California Hypnotherapy Academy, an internationally-known author and speaker. Since 1989, she has taught classes, and given presentations on hypnotherapy at professional conferences nationwide.
