Every human has both feminine and masculine aspects to their being. As hypnotherapists we learn how to use the tone of voice, gestures, mannerisms; all with the intent of taking the role as the authority in session. What if you can let go of the belief that you had to have the perfect script and the right suggestions? What if you could trust in a firm yet maternal approach? How would it feel to remain receptive and open to the wisdom available from within each client? Practicing hypnotherapy from a place of compassion and curiosity for what arises within my clients and even myself is nourishing for both client and hypnotherapist. One of the most important elements of this process is allowing for the somatic experience to be explored. We can offer the invitation to our client to sense into their body and receive the information available through the senses. Through this gentle process they learn what it feels like to be regulated from the inside rather than from the external environment. We can be the guide and at the same time hold the truth that our clients have their own best answers within themselves.
