My name is Diane Edwards and I am the founder, owner and operator of the San Diego Hypnosis Clinic for over 30 years.
When I first opened my Hypnotherapy practice in 1988 I was only doing one-on-one sessions.
In the beginning it was really slow and I didn’t know if I could make it. Occasionally I’d get 2 -3 people wanting a session together, mostly for smoking or weight loss, and it was from that experience I realized that I could easily replicate the same session for a larger group, making a lot more money with the same amount of time and effort.
Well…you all know how we get faced with our fears! My confidence was really being tested as I faced a whole lot of uncertainty. I’d never done this before with a large group of people, and I had no way of knowing how people would respond. So, I avoided it for quite a while.
Eventually I was willing to experience the discomfort and go for it. I’m happy to say the uncertainty didn’t last long. I started to really enjoy doing groups and since then I’ve been all over the country offering Group Hypnosis Workshops with large and small groups, and I’ve found it incredibly rewarding, in many different aspects.
If you’re thinking about venturing into group work but aren’t sure how to go about it, you’re not alone. But as intimidating as it may seem, the benefits to your skills and confidence will be well worth it, not to mention the extra income that goes along with group work.
Working with groups has so many great advantages. Not only does it allow you to help many people at the same time, but the power of experiencing hypnosis in a large group actually can deepen and intensify the effect of the hypnosis. In fact hypnotizing groups sometimes can be easier than working with individuals, once you know the right way to do it!
Hypnosis Groups are a wonderful opportunity for people to experience Hypnosis, maybe for the first time, who otherwise would have been unfamiliar with Hypnosis.
* It’s less expensive compared to individual sessions
* It gives a taste of the incredible power of Hypnosis
* It’s a great way of introducing people to you and what you can do for them
* It makes it safe and a lot more comfortable for a person to see you individually when they know you.
When groups go well it can leave people almost begging for your business.
Imagine hypnotizing groups of people easily and effortlessly. Imagine standing in front of a room of 10 or 50 people, all of them so hopeful because you are the expert who will finally help them. Within 2 hours, you’ve transformed more lives than many hypnotists do in a week!
