Socratic questions can be used with the client alert before the session and during hypnosis. This approach works well with everyone and is particularly helpful with left-brain dominant clients. Socratic questions help arouse curiosity and a new level of insight when used with the client in hypnosis. Encouraging our clients to think in different ways about various subjects prompts them to wonder how things could be different. We’ll touch on using the questions during the intake, during hypnosis and how to send the client home with this tool. The presentation will include a case study and an opportunity to observe how easy it is to transition this tool into a session.
