ACHE certification renewal ensures that practitioners remain aligned with current professional standards, ethical practice, and continuing education requirements.

Please complete the form below to renew your certification and maintain your standing with the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners.

The American Council of Hypnotherapist Examiners requires continuing education for re-certification. Member must engage in a minimum of 30 hours CE in each two-year registration period. For more information on courses and education that qualifies, read our requirements here.

Renewal Fees

• U.S. Members $195 USD ($220 if certification has not been kept current).
• International Members $215 USD ($240 if certification has not been kept current).
• One-time additional $25 fee for an upgrade in Certification status (w/proof of 100 CE hours)
• Pay through Shopify below. Additionally, you may send the form by mail and include a check payable to ACHE (US dollars only).

ACHE has establisheda not-for-profit Legislative and Legal Defense Fund to fight legal battles that arise to maintain the free and open practice of hypnotherapy. A voluntary contribution of $10 helps support these legal encounters.

Renewal Due Date

Membership renews every two years and should be completed by December 31st. A late fee of $25 applies to renewals postmarked after February 15th. You will receive a reminder email before the due date.

Steps to Renew Your Membership

Renew Online

  • Complete the renewal form below (scroll down) and pay using PayPal or submit the form and then call our office with your credit card information: 619-280-7200
  • Read and check the boxes for the declaration
  • Email copies of your CE certificates or receipts for courses (completed within the past two years) CE proof is required.

Renew by Mail

  • Download the Renewal Form (below)
  • Complete and mail the form to A.C.H.E., 7183 Navajo Rd., Ste. E, San Diego, CA 92119, USA
  • Include a check made payable to ACHE
  • Include copies of your CE certificates or receipts for courses (completed within the past two years) CE proof is required.

For Lapsed Certifications

  • Complete the renewal form (online or download below)
  • Include check (or call with credit card information) made payable to ACHE
  • Provide copies of your CE certificates or receipts for courses (completed within the past two years) CE proof is required.

For lapses beyond 6 years, please read the additional requirements here. Course & examination may be waived for hypnotherapists who submit evidence of three consecutive years of full-time professional practice. The Board of Directors may occasionally grant an exception on a case-by-case, non-discriminatory basis. If you have just graduated from a 200-hour non-ACHE program, you may be able to take the exam and be certified. Please contact the office for more information at (619) 280-7200.
