Hypnosis for pre-op surgical procedures by telephone or in person
Bette Epstein, CHT, Dallas, TX

Over years of practice, I have often been asked to do pre-surgical hypnosis sessions on clients. About 5 years ago these calls became frequent and I have now decided to work from home and do all of the work by phone. This gives me the opportunity to help clients all over the world from the comfort of my home and in many cases the client gets reimbursed by his insurance company. In this presentation, I explain the process, walk the group through the entire information gathering procedure, through the act itself, and have a question and answer session.

The emphasis will be on exploratory methods that can lead to powerful discoveries and therapeutic breakthroughs. Randal Churchill will include a description of the methods he used to elicit a complete cure of multiple sclerosis (which is one of the cases featured in his forthcoming ideomotor training text). Body Mind Solutions™
Heather Gangnier, CCHT, NLPP, Kihei, HL

Learn a step by step procedure for direct communication with the client's presenting issue/symptom, including physiological or mental/emotional conditions, dreams, habits, and behavior patterns. The subconscious mind communicates to us through these experiences, in its own language of metaphors and archetypes. However, seldom does our conscious mind understand the language of our subconscious. This method easily reveals the true meaning of our client's issues/symptoms. Find out what the issue/symptom is trying to communicate, what it needs for resolution, and meet that need, all in one easy session. This workshop will include lecture demonstration and hands on practice. Heather Gangnier is a well-known teacher and presenter of hypnotherapy. She was formerly a co-director of the Hypnotherapy Academy of America and is currently a co-director of the Hypnotherapy Institute of Maui.

The Intuitive Heart
Katherine Zimmerman, CCHT, San Diego, CA

We are all intuitive. Some are more naturally intuitive than others but everyone can increase their inner "knowing." Tuning in intuitively can make the difference in the level of healing that takes place in your client's life. Our conscious mind explains and our subconscious mind tells a story. An explanation will analyze, dissect, show principles, rules or laws. But a story can excite us and move us. We participate in a story and learn from our vicarious experience. In this presentation you will learn how to open your intuitive heart and share your wisdom through your own personal stories.

Verbal and Non-Verbal First Aid
Judith Simon Prager, PhD, Redondo Beach, CA
In 2002 Judith Simon Prager and Judith Acosta co-developed the protocol of Verbal First Aid™ that is currently being used in medical centers, fire departments, 9-1-1 and EMS dispatches, and health care clinics across the United States, in England, and in China. People in fear, panic, or pain slip into an altered state of consciousness and words said at such times enter the autonomic nervous system, which regulates vital bodily functions. When the right words are said, it can mean the difference between pain and comfort, panic and calm, even life and death. Dr. Prager also reports on "non-verbal first aid," the amazing power of presence, as demonstrated by dolphin and equine assisted therapies. Judith Simon Prager, PhD, is a certified clinical hypnotherapist with a PhD in psychology and a private practice in Redondo Beach, CA in which she specializes in trauma.
She is co-author of The Worst Is Over: What To Say When Every Moment Counts.
